Barcelona have pretty much wrapped up a deal for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero who will reportedly arrive at the club in the summer on a two-year deal.
According to La Porteria, Aguero has agreed to a paycut that will see him earn an annual salary of €5 million at the Camp Nou. It’s thought he could be presented as a Barcelona player at the start of June.
The Argentine is also convinced that he will be playing with Lionel Messi next season as the Barcelona captain will stay on at the club.
Messi’s future remains the subject of speculation with the 33-year-old out of contract in the summer and yet to extend his deal.
There is optimism that Messi will stay on at the moment, but it seems he’s waiting to hear what Joan Laporta has planned for next season.
Staying at Barcelona seems to be Messi’s preferred option but he needs to see that Laporta can create a competitive team that will challenge for titles.
The Barcelona president promised just that on Tuesday and has claimed big decisions will be made “starting next week.”
