Who is Allegra Edwards?
Allegra Rose Edwards was born in Denver, Colorado USA, on 9 September 1987 – her zodiac sign is Virgo and she holds American nationality. She’s an actress and a model, who’s perhaps known best for her portrayal of Cindy McCabe in the mystery crime series “Briarpatch”, created by Andy Greenwald and which starred Rosario Dawson, Jay R. Ferguson and Edi Gathegi. It follows a senator’s aide who returns home to San Bonifacio in Texas to learn more about her sister who was a police officer, and was killed by a car bomb; it aired in 2019 and 2020.
Early life and education
Allegra was raised in Denver alongside her two siblings Sky and Evangeline (born in 1990 and 1996, respectively), by their mother Jeannie who is a housewife and their father Paul who is the CEO of his own company, Edwards & Creson LLC while he’s also working at Gordon College as senior vice president.
Allegra was a year and a half old when her parents launched her modelling career, as she got to appear in a commercial, and she then grew up dreaming about becoming a famous model. She was attending a local high school when she became interested in acting, and upon matriculating in 2006, Allegra enrolled at the American Conservatory Theatre from which she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2010.
She then chose to further work on her education at Pepperdine University, from which she obtained her Master of Arts degree in theatre and television in 2013.
Roles in movies
Allegra actually launched her acting career in 2009, with her portrayal of Tango Girl in the short comedy “Tutor”, but which failed to attract any attention. She went on to portray supporting characters in several not-so-successful movies, such as the 2010 musical “Life Is Not a Musical: The Musical”, the thriller comedy “My Friend Violet” and the short science fiction comedy “Upstairs”, both in 2016.
The same year also saw her portray the lead character Chasey in the comedy “AdFirm”, written and directed by Jeremy Morris-Burke, and which also starred Vanessa Morris-Burke and Eric T. Miller. The movie follows the life of a graduate student who has just started working at a failing start-up company. Two of her most recent roles in movies have been in the 2019 comedy “The Social Ones”, and the 2020 short comedy “Social Meditation”, neither of which attracted any attention.

Allegra made her debut TV series appearance with her portrayal of Arizona in the 2016 episode “Blindsided” of the romantic comedy drama “Modern Family”, created by Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan, and which starred Julie Bowen, Sofia Vergara and Ed O’Neill. It follows the lives of three families, aired from 2009 to 2020, and won 118 awards including a Golden Globe, while it was nominated for 385 other awards.
She went on to make a guest appearance in an episode of various series, such as the comedy “New Girl”, the comedy “Jon Glaser Loves Gear”, and another comedy “The Mindy Project”. The year 2017 saw Allegra portray a TV anchor in the episode “The Reverse Midas Touch” of the hit crime comedy drama “Orange Is the New Black”, created by Jenji Kohan, and which starred Taylor Schilling, Danielle Brooks and Taryn Manning. It follows Piper Chapman who has been sentenced to spend a year in jail for a crime she committed a decade previously when she sent her ex-girlfriend drug money. The series aired from 2013 to 2019, and won 51 awards of the 194 it was nominated for, including six Golden Globes.
Allegra went on to appear in an episode of several hit series, such as the comedy drama “Friends from College”, the drama “The Last Tycoon”, and the comedy “Alternativo with Arturo Castro”. Her most recent role in a TV series has been her portrayal of Ingrid Kannerman, one of the lead characters in the mystery science fiction comedy “Upload”, created by Greg Daniels, and which also stars Robbie Amell, Andy Allo and Zainab Johnson. It has been airing since 2020, and follows a man who has died by mistake as his consciousness was uploaded into a virtual world, and he now gets to decide what kind of afterlife he wants. The series has been nominated for four awards.

Allegra is quite secretive when it comes to her love life, and hasn’t shared a lot about it except that she’s today married to Clayton Snyder. The two haven’t disclosed how and when they met for the first time, nor the exact date of their wedding, but it’s believed that they met on the set of a movie as they’re both actors.

He has appeared in around 50 movies and TV series, while he’s probably still known best for his portrayal of Ethan, one of the lead characters in the 2003 adventure family comedy film “The Lizzie McGuire Movie”, which also starred Hilary Duff and Adam Lamberg, and follows Lizzie during her school trip to Rome, Italy. The film won two of the five awards it was nominated for.
Allegra hasn’t spoken about any other men she has perhaps been with, so as of March 2021, she is married to Clayton Snyder; she doesn’t have children.
