Months after his homecoming where he was promised land and some cash, Burna Boy has claimed that he did not get any money from the concert.
It will be recalled that River state Governor, Nyesom Wike, organized a homecoming for the singer to honour and celebrate him following his first Grammy win at the 63rd Grammy Awards in March.
Burna Boy was then awarded the Distinguished Service Star of Rivers State (DSSRS) when he returned to Port Harcourt for the homecoming concert.
It will also be recalled that the Governor had promised to give artists who came to perform at the concert N10m each and also promised to give Burn Boy a land to build and some cash.
However, Burna Boy has come out to state that, he didn’t get any money from that concert. He said, he didn’t get a ‘dime’ and that, it was only the other artists who came to perform who got paid.
The self-acclaimed African Giant, made this revelation after a fan had attacked him and called him a liar for saying he doesn’t make money from Nigeria.
Burna had taken to Twitter to claim he is not a Nigerian artist as he doesn’t make money from Nigeria

Lol. I didn’t get a dime. Only the artists who honoured me by performing at my homecoming were paid. Get your facts right. https://t.co/9ip2SCjdGA
