Despite the dissolving of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) by the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, on Sunday, October 11, 2020, during a live broadcast, some citizens of Nigeria are still going on with their EndSARS protest in different parts of the country.
The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, addressed Nigerians during a broadcast on Monday concerning the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) stating that the disbanding of SARS is the first step in their commitment to extensive police reform.
As at today, there are still EndSARS protest going on in different parts of the country as the protesters have also lamented about police brutality which they want the government to tackle on.
The EndSARS protest began in the country few days back as youths, men and women trooped to the streets to protest against the harassment from operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad. However, in today’s EndSARS in Enugu State, a protester did the unthinkable as he decided to go to the protest unclad.
Instead of the protesters around him to tell him the necessary thing to do, they were busy praising him which is not right.
