Paul ‘Rudeboy’ Okoye of the defunct Psquare group have revealed a rather unusual nickname for his daughter.
Rudeboy through his Instangram handle revealed the nickname he had given to his first daughter, he called her “Rudegirl” carved out from “Rudeboy” which is his own nickname.
Seems Rudeboy is trying to shape his beloved daughter’s career part to fit into music but I think it her such a nickname as “Rudegirl” is not entirely cool.
Names have a way of affecting the lives of the bearer, reason why as a parent we should be careful the type of name we give our children. It’s quite different when a Child comes of age and choose a nickname but not imposing a name. There’s nothing interesting in being “Rude” in the first place, it means bad manner and offensively polite.
The question is if Rudeboy thought about the implication of such a name before nicknaming his beloved daughter? No I don’t think so.
What are you views on this, or am I just overthinking things?
