In 2020, an international global company that focuses on technology, investment, business, lifestyle and entrepreneurship called Forbes ranked 2,095 billionaires with an accumulated wealth of $8 trillion. The company ranked Jeff Bezos first on the list with a value of $113 billion but as of June 2021, his value has increased to $193.5 billion
He is the owner of The Washington Post and Blue Origin, an aerospace company that is developing rockets for commercial use. The man could have worth two times his value today but in 2019, he divorced his wife, MacKenzie, after twenty-five years of marriage and transferred a quarter of the Amazon stake to her.
By then, Amazon had recorded revenue of $280.5 billion and a net profit of $11.5 billion.
