All the sporting activities especially football, NBA, crickets, Athletics, and many more, have produced rich players over the years. The money from TV rights has contributed massively to the increase in player salaries across all the sporting activities in the world. Those who have positioned themselves exceptionally with their outstanding performance also get sponsored.

We look at the richest sportsman alive, his area of sports, and his current net worth. He is 57, a United States citizen, and married with five children. He holds a degree in Art/science from the University of North California, Chapel Hill.

The richest sportsman in the world is Michael Jordan.

Michael Jordan, popularly known as MJ, is the World’s Richest Sportsman. He is regarded as the Best Basketball Player of All Time and has an estimated net worth of $1.6B according to Forbes on October 29, 2020.

He was a 6-time NBA champion and 6-time MVP, a 14-time All-Star, and 10-time scoring leader. MJ earned a total salary of $90 million in his playing career but his success off the court has earned him about $1.8b before tax. He has sponsorship deals with Nike and Gatorade. He owns the Charlotte Hornets and he was featured in the ’Space Jam’ movie.
