Urban Frank Meyer III (born July 10, 1964) is an American football coach who currently serves as the head coach of the National Football League’s Jacksonville Jaguars . From 2001 to 2002, Meyer led the Bowling Green Falcons, the Utah Utes from 2003 to 2004, the Florida Gators from 2005 to 2010, and the Ohio State Buckeyes from 2012 to 2018.
After retiring from coaching after the Rose Bowl in 2019, he worked as an associate athletic director at Ohio State and as a Fox Sports analyst, appearing weekly on their Big Noon Kickoff pre-game broadcast. Meyer stepped out of retirement in 2021 to take over as head coach of the Jaguars, his first NFL position.
