The immorality of leaders has been a reality among God’s people for as long as God has had a people. The temptations for leaders are as real as they are for the rest of us, but the consequences are more severe. When a leader falls, all are punished. – DesiringGod.org
We see this reality, for instance, when God wields Assyria against Israel’s wickedness. God punished the nation,
“for those who guide this people have been leading them astray, and those who are guided by them are swallowed up” (Isaiah 9:16).
I can say the major problem of Nigeria is from the leaders, and God will not forgive Nigeria if we still keep the bad leaders.
Lots of Nigeria citizens are living a awful life, toiling day and night for survival while our leaders were more concerned about their reputation, their success, and their profit than they were for the safety, faith, and holiness of the men and women God had put under their care.
HiTNG posted a report that Borno Governor Declares Monday For Statewide Fasting And Prayers, for enduring peace ( Boko Haram) in the state.
We have been on this prayer of Boko Haram for over years, but God is not deaf, he saw how men and women are killed. In December 2003 The first known attack by Boko Haram includes roughly 200 militants, who attack multiple police stations in the state of Yobe, near the Niger border.
But none of this leaders have been killed by this attack but who are meant to die were killed, civilians.
Youths are out protesting peacefully against disordered Policemen we have in our country, but more than 18 young people have been killed.
On Friday, Osun state Governor Gboyega Oyetola gave the order to shoot at peaceful protesters where two youths were shut down at the spot.
We’re to blame, Why? Because we are lead away from a proper course by offering some pleasure or advantage, my friend during the presidential election voted for opposition party because the money shared there is more than her party, a youth to be precise. I asked her some days ago that are you still enjoy the money or I should mind my business 😂😂.
But we’re not going to suffer tomorrow if we do the best thing today,
God had said, “You shall not mistreat any widow or fatherless child” (Exodus 22:22). David had cried to God, “To you the helpless commits himself; you have been the helper of the fatherless” (Psalm 10:14). He is the “father of the fatherless and protector of widows” (Psalm 68:5). Yet Isaiah writes that this God, in the wake of corrupt leadership, “has no compassion on their fatherless and widows” (Isaiah 9:17). That is the consequence of sin in a community, especially when a leader falls.
They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved. (2 Peter 2:19).
If you see the poor oppressed in a district, and justice and rights denied, do not be surprised at such things; for one official is eyed by a higher one, and over them both are others higher still.(Ecclesiastes 5:8).
What we need now is to voice out and fight for our right, We have the right to protest but The leaders are against it because we have finally woken up.
